This is an electron microscopy photo of the renal biopsy of a patient with minimal change nephropathy. He presented with nephrotic-range proteinuria without any renal dysfunction. One can see diffuse effacement of the foot processes of the podocytes (arrow). The light microscopy and immunofluorescent findings were unremarkable.
