This elderly woman has underlying chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and is currently on long term inhaled corticosteroids (becloforte). She complained of poor appetite. Examination showed presence of oral thrush (candidiasis). Patient was prescribed with nystatin oral drops and was advised to rinse her mouth after the usage of inhaled corticosteroids. The oral flush subsequently improved with treatment.
