Hypertriglyceridaemia

A middle-aged man, who was also a chronic drinker, presented with acute pancreatitis. On examination, he was noted to have eruptive xanthomata. His triglyceride level was 20 mmol/L. He was treated with fenofibrate (a fibrate).
